BJP Issues Defamation Notice to Atishi Amid Poaching Allegations

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and minister Atishi. This comes after Atishi accused the BJP of attempting to lure her into defecting to their party through a close aide. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva stated that Atishi’s claims were false and that the BJP has no interest in having her join their ranks.

Sachdeva mentioned that the BJP has issued a defamation notice to Atishi, demanding the name of the person who allegedly approached her. Failure to respond within 15 days may lead to civil and criminal defamation cases. He criticized AAP for fabricating stories of their leaders’ arrests when faced with challenges, stressing that all AAP leaders arrested in the liquor scam have been legally validated.
